Jack K. Byrd III is the co-founder and CEO of Solaren Risk Management, a leading security company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. A Middle Tennessee native, Byrd graduated from Wilson Central High School in Lebanon before pursuing higher education at Trevecca Nazarene University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy. He later obtained a Master's of Science in Public Service Management from Cumberland University.

Byrd's career in law enforcement began at age 19 when he joined the Davidson County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) as a paid intern. Upon turning 21, he attended the DCSO training academy and was quickly promoted to Corporal after his first year. During his tenure at DCSO, he served in the Armed Services Division, managing inmate transportation and movement. He also participated in community initiatives like "Toys for Tots" and the "Sober Ride Campaign." In 2014, Byrd transitioned to the United States Marshal Service as a District Officer.

In early 2017, Byrd co-founded Solaren Risk Management with Curtis E. Dodson. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a small team to over 300 contractors working throughout Nashville, offering services including armed and unarmed security, off-duty police services, traffic control, and private investigations. The company serves both commercial and government clients across the southeastern United States.
